Okay.  So you successfullly caused me to install Adobe Flash and my audio device is STILL NOT WORKING!

Just buy a cheap USB sound adaptor. The ones with the cords last longer.

I am convinced that this is how they force you into buying their new products. They wanted to do away with vista and it's problems so now millions of them don't work and can't be fixed. Unless it's absolutely impossible for some reason, I'm going Apple. Yes they are not perfect but I spent well over a thousand dollars on this computer and I don't have that kind of $ to throw away.

did not work in my laptop hp dv6700?

what else can be done???

apparently nothing. You can try changing out your sound card and disc drive with new ones with new drivers (obviously) but there is no guarentee there either.

I'm using my HP Spectre XT Ultrabook with windows 8 for about two months and yesterday sound devices disappeared and showed "No Audio Output Device is Installed" I tried installing the Audio drivers again but didn't work.
