hi all i dont know the reason, but i can only asume that the dvd drive is shot coz i pluged in an external dvd drive and now installing as normal from that ,again you need to set boot order to boot from usb cd rom. hope this is of some use to someone. it's been driving me nuts:smileyvery-happy:

Hi
Just had the same problem on an hp 530,non system disk. Did the same and changed the boot order still no success. Figured that the DVD was suspect. Found the DVD had been set somehow to the wrong region. Tried to change it but it failed to change. Swapped the drives with my spare hp 530.Windows disc now starts to load but is asking for the drivers for the hard disc, and DVD drive! I am also getting the error code 163 time and date not set.
