I bought my laptop a few days ago and installed it at school. There my laptop works really well and can be connected to the wifi. 

Now every time I come home, the wifi button disappears out of the settings and I cannot even choose to connect to it. So I don’t have any internet at all. In settings it only says. ‘You are not connected to a network’. This is frustrating, because I want to do my homework. 

After searching about this problem online. I couldn’t really find a good answer. I looked up my network adapters and saw a not so good looking symbol next to ‘Realtek RTL8822CE’. It doesn’t say what it is but I guess it has something to do with my PC not being able to connect to internet. The symbol isn’t even in the right bottom of the screen. It’s complete vanished.

That Realtek device seems to have a problem as discussed here and here

 

The manufacture has not released any drivers for that device since 2017 which is suspicious as win11 is out

I think you need to replace that card with the one @Paul_Tikkanen recommended here

Hi, @Eddie108 

 

While I 100% agree with BeemerBiker's recommendation to upgrade the Wi-Fi card if all else fails, the latest driver HP released for that model card is this one:

 

2024.10.227.0     06/21/2022

See if that driver helps any.
