Probook 6560b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP probook 6560b with the motherboard Part No. 646964-001

Current Bios: F.61 Rev.A

The wireless module is Part No. 631954-001 Intel 6205 WLAN 802.11a/b/g/n PCIe network card

I have searched everywhere and the WLAN module should be supported, why is it not working?

I have tried factory resetting the BIOS and have a case open with HP, but I am not getting anywhere.

Looking here it should be compatable??

Is this original WiFi or did you purchase a new one and install it???

It is a replacement as the old one was dropping the connection and needed to be disabled and enabled in Windows to make it work.

Did the new WiFi card have an HP part number sticker on it??? (Or just the SPS sticker???)

Did you order using the HP part number or the WiFi model number???

@REO51ST I found the part on eBay by searching for the part number. It does not have the part number on the device itself, but it is the correct device.

This is the listing:

The one you show is for a Dell. (D P\N 0X9JDY)

Take a look at the pictures for this one.

You will see the HP sticker on the back of it.

So you think that is the issue?

If that is the case, putting in the HP part number in the listing is wrong.

HP support were trying to say my motherboard was incompatable or somthing, I dont want to risk purchasing another card that doesnt work, this is the 3rd one so far. 😕 All using the suggested cards on the partsurfer.

They all seem to have the same FCC ID on them, which suggests compatibility.

Personally I have faith in the FCC, and when it says...

FCC ID PD962205ANHU  PD9-62205ANHU, PD9 62205ANHU, PD962205ANHU, PD9622O5ANHU Intel Mobile Communications Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205

Of course it may be the wrong part for that MoBO.

Fair enough, I will take one last effort of getting a replacement card with the part number.   This is my 3rd and I hate having to initiate returns especially it is HPs fault...

To be sure any card on the link above should work fine? Do you have any recomendation at all?
