I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .

Hi sam4nem, ferrycode In case you missed it, this is the default troubleshooting document.
Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 😎
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05207063
*sam4nem: What do you mean by 'i am not able connect to Wi-Fi which is 802.11g' ?
-Are you able to see your network's SSID? Has it ever worked? By DOS-Mode do you mean Quickweb?
Find the section "Set up the network connection"
Configuring Applications in Instant On Software (IOS) and QuickWeb Environment:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02203034
*ferrycode: 2 meters drops your connection. Have you tried another router in a different location? Have you tried a different wireless channel to avoid possible congestion? Here is a great document, please try all of these steps and let me know if you have an improvement.
Is your wireless connection dropping?

I Just Bought a HP 15 series laptop today , it has the exact problem mentioned above . Bad connectivity to wi-fi and cannot connect to 802.11 g , tried installing bloody drivers . no use . shitty Adapter . why do they go for these adapters instead of using tried and tested ones .

Hi gta123,
What driver do you have installed?
The newest driver for the Ralink RT3290 is version: 5.0.35.0 (25 Oct 2013)
is that the driver you have installed?
Important: When installing a new WIFI driver, you want to download the new driver and save it to your desktop (or other folder).
When you've downloaded your new driver, Go to your device manager and uninstall your current Ralink WI FI driver and be sure to put a check mark in the small box on the lower left.
Now restart your laptop and double check your device manager to see that your WIFI driver was deleted.
Now go to your downloaded 'new driver' and click on it, and be sure to install the driver for the correct Windows operating system you have either 32 or 64 bit.

Come on HP update your drivers on your website. They are so old. Keep up!!!!!
