Let's put it this way...there is a reason you are told to power down through the start button. 🙂

Has the problem solved with this, coz the same thing just happened with me, but i wanna hear some positive news before I get hopful.
No. There is no known resolution at this time regardless of those who think they have solved it. As I said in an earlier post, the constant setting changes, adjustments, driver installs and uninstalls will not fix this until an official update or patch or 9-1-1 response comes from either HP or MS. 🙂

In my case any instability is completely gone. Only weird thing is that there is lack of drivers for my unit on the site, I mentioned earlier that they keep showing and hiding from the page and this is for all operating systems. So, I would say that HP is doing something... At least my PC got new BIOS and that removed BSODs for sure but some things are gone with it like hotkey support so I am missing screen brightness fn on fresh os install as a differennce of previous install where I had this installed. Drivers desappeared in the meantime. This could be related to video issues we all have/had.
HP is not fully ready for Windows 10 at the moment. Maybe not nearly ready.
I didn't mean to post here any more but I just keep getting e-mails when someone posts here although I did check "do not send any" for e-mailing in account settings.

Ok guys, HP have said to revert back to your previous OS.
Wait for the new driver updates - which will come via Windows Update (but you can keep an eye out for them on HP as well).
Update the drivers when they are released and then upgrade to Windows 10 then.
That's all they are saying at the moment.
I've reverted to Windows 8.1 and everything is fine. Best do that if you are worried about your computer from multiple Hard Resets.

I've found that locking it with the start button + L, before you go into sleep or shutdown, seems to help a little bit. I'm having a lot more success doing it that way. It's not a fix in any way, but if it helps to avoid the hard shutdown / resets, then it's better than nothing.
I swear, a little piece of me dies everytime I have to do a hard shut down! lol.

I was worried about how to get it myself but the reservation app was on my taskbar same as before the upgrade and it just automatically downloaded Windows 10 and is happily waiting there to be installed.
Just ensure to untick the upgrade when installing other Windows Updates, until the drivers are updated. 🙂
(I think I should say, I don't work for HP. I just put HP before my name cuz I own one. Didn't think that through )
