Hi Miyo_Sullivan,
Yes, it could be an issue with the adapter the issue only occurs when the notebook is plugged in. When you are playing with the AC adapter connected and the notebook crashes is the battery completely removed or still in the notebook?

Hi Miyo_Sullivan,
It is definitely a power issue of some sort from the sounds of it. Further troubleshooting would require physical testing of the hardware. At this point you are either talking to someone local or calling HP.
