Hi,

Try the following.

Shutdown the notebook.

Tap away at the esc key as soon as you press the power button to enter the Start-up Menu and then select the Bios Menu ( f10 ).

Under the System Configuration tab, expand the Boot Options Menu.

Set Secure Boot to Disabled and Legacy Devices to Enabled.

When done, press f10 and select to save the changes.

You may then have to enter a 4 digit pin displayed on the screen to confirm the setting changes - enter the code and hit enter.

Regards,

DP-K

Hi David. I have done what you said;however, I'm at a point where it says ...if yes, changing the system may make unable to boot the OS. should I be concerned?

Now it says no bootable device. After I accepted changes. Can you please advise? Thank you.

Hi,

Shutdown the notebook and then try booting again.

If you still get the error, try re-enabling Secure boot and reboot again

Hi,

Can you post back with the following details.

1. The full Model No. and Product No. of your m6 series notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.

2. Have you created your Recovery Discs ( or Recovery flash drive )?

Regards,

Hi DP-k. I meant thanks for the guidance (in case you read as sarcasm, didn't intend it that way).

Hi,

No problem - I didn't read it that way :generic:

In addition to my last post, also try the following.

Shut down the notebook.

Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the Diagnostic Menu option ( f2 ) and run the tests on the Hard Drive.

Post back with the results.
