Stream 14
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Anyone know if its possible to install Windows 7 on a Stream latpop that came with 8.1?

I downloaded the drivers for Windows 7 but they dont' work. I can't get the wifi working and I can't attack it to the Hub to get the drivers automatically.

Can anyone help with this?

Is there any way to attach the laptop to the Hub via cable, using the USB or other sockets?

Any way to get the Win7 drivers working? I have downloaded them all from the site but they don't work

Many thanks

Hi:

Please post the product number for your Stream 14 so I can see what hardware it has.

Thanks for your help.

Is there a trick to instlaling the drivers?

I installed Win7, then the drivers, but none of them worked.

Also, I can't get it to recognise USB drives.

Thanks

You're very welcome.

That info helps some...

OK, try this driver for the chipset and usb...

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows%207%20-%2064

Graphics:  First one listed.

There is no info available online for what model wireless card your notebook has, so please do the following steps so I can figure that out...

Go to the device manager and there should be a device labeled Network Controller under an Other Devices category.

Click on the Network Controller device and then click on the Details tab.

Now you should see a Property drop down list and it is set to Device Description.

Drop down on that list and select the second item (hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

Hi:

On any PC you should:

1. Install the chipset drivers and reboot.

2. Install the graphics driver and reboot.

3. Install the audio driver and reboot.

4. Install the ethernet driver.

5. Install the wireless card driver.

Then you can install any other drivers you need in no particular order.
