Hi,
I have purchased my notebook (hp pavilion g4 1010tu) 6 year ago. I have format my notebook many times by using the recovery media (DVD). 1 year before, due to no avilability of my recovery media I have format my notebook & upload the window 8 with not activated version, due to which I have lost my recovery drive also which was created at the time of first time OS setup. Now I want to install my activated OS using that recovery media (DVD) but I am getting error i.e. The system recovery media does not support this computer. You are not able to restore this system with the media (some key are also displaying).
Please help me how can I install my activated OS in my sytem. Or how can I again get my recovery drive in my system. Please suggest the solution.
Thanks,
Nishant Pandya

It looks like you were interacting with @The_Fossette, but he's out for the day
And I'll be glad to help you out.
The Riddle_Decipher is at your service.
To let you know the error message you've mentioned occurs if and when there are any major software or hardware changes done to your computer causing the BUILD ID stored in your BIOS to corrupt in the process:
Hence, I'd like to know if you've made any changes to your hard drive or the motherboard?
If you haven't, I would also recommend you run a hardware test on your hard drive to ensure this isn't a hardware failure: Click here for details.
For more details about the error message: Click here
That said, to personally help you out, though these steps aren't recommended by HP, you may use them to find yourself a solution: Click here for a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped many others
Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,
It's been a pleasure interacting with you and I hope you have a good day ahead.
