Hi,

Uninstall Your current driver and try this one:

Synaptics touchpad sp45848

If this will still not solve Your problem then go to:

Control Panel -> Mouse -> Devices Settings

and choose there ' Synaptics TouchPad '. Then little lower click on ' Settings '. From the list which will be there choose ' Virtual rewind ' and check two options: vertical and horizontal. Click on ok.

Hi-

You seemd to have this figured out so I thought I would ask.

Brand new- out of the box from HP today- HP pavilion with synaptics V7.4 touchpad.

The scroll is not working on the touch pad.

I have downloaded the driver you suggested to others and gone to the link for drivers for  "your" produc that you listed.

The drivers will not load, as they tell me a newer version is already on my computer.

Any ideas how to  fix this this?

Thanks!

Hi,
Post your part number (p/n) . You'll find it at the bottom of the laptop on a sticker, which looks like this.
