Same problem here. 

Windows 7 64 bit

HP Pavilion dv6-1264ca

 

PRODUCT : WA871UA#ABC

 

i uninstall current driver and reinstal :

 

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp44501-45000/sp44995.exe

 

Still not working.

Hi,

Uninstall Your current driver and try this one:

Synaptics touchpad sp45848

 

If this will still not solve Your problem then go to:

 

Control Panel -> Mouse -> Devices Settings

 

and choose there ' Synaptics TouchPad '. Then little lower click on ' Settings '. From the list which will be there choose ' Virtual rewind ' and check two options: vertical and horizontal. Click on ok.

not sure if anyone is still checking this thread, but same problem as everyone else. Touchpad is not working after upgrading from Vista to Windows 7

I just updated the operating system from vista to win7. Also I got the same problem.

I installed the drive but not working.

Hi-

You seemd to have this figured out so I thought I would ask.

Brand new- out of the box from HP today- HP pavilion with synaptics V7.4 touchpad.

The scroll is not working on the touch pad.

I have downloaded the driver you suggested to others and gone to the link for drivers for  "your" produc that you listed.

The drivers will not load, as they tell me a newer version is already on my computer.

Any ideas how to  fix this this?
