Hi guys,
Anyone has a working solution for it, without changing those settings in Device Manager?
We had the issue with 850 EliteBook G7 and the x360 1030.
Initially we started to get a BSOD. Uninstalling Realtek USB-C Ge network driver and leave the "standard" one after reboot, helped with the BSOD but not with the micro disconnections.
I hope HP will provide a fix soon.

Same issue here with HP ProBook 440G8.
Please update the USB Ethernetr driver from the Realtek site (version 10.45.20):
Realtek USB FE / GBE / 2.5G / Gaming Ethernet Family Controller Software
It seems to be going well.
Fingers crossed 🙂

I have a newer Probook with this USB-C Dock and when I dock it after undocking it doesn't release the wireless and it won't pickup the printers and drives. The Ethernet is active and shows power and activity but it stays on Wireless.
I checked the BIOS and the LAN/WAN switching is turned on. The BIOS has been flashed to the newest version. I can place a different laptop on the dock and it works well so it seems to be in the laptop. I've reloaded the laptop and the problem comes back.

Have logged a support ticket with HP Ref: 5071106901 CRM:0043653009064 will wait for a new BIOS driver to be released from HP as we had this issue with Previous Elitebook and Probook 840 G6 & G7's.
After a couple of months HP release a new BIOS ver which fixed problem completely
