HP ENVY x360 - 15m-ds0011dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The keypad has become unresponsive. The laptop has had this issue for most of the time I've had it, but usually a quick reboot would fix the issue. Apparently my luck ran out. Backlight doesn't work, and sometimes I have to hit a single key several times for a single press to register. All of my programs I use for schoolwork are on that laptop and as a result, I'm being temporarily brickwalled on getting anything done until I can get the necessary programs installed on my gaming PC (which I'd really rather not do) because I cannot log in to my student portal.

There are a multitude of threads, most from 2019, mentioning an "Intel Integrated Sensor Solution" driver that needs to be disabled under Device Manager > System Devices and that usually this fixes the issue, at least temporarily. Here are the ones I still have tabs open for:

I am having the same issues as described here, but that driver does not show up in my System Devices, here's a screenshot with "Show Hidden Devices" enabled in the View tab.

So what is it I need to do, because this is incredibly frustrating. I'm up to date on required Windows updates, other than that there's very little I've touched or changed here.

Hi@LUnacy45,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing issues with the HP ENVY Notebook Unresponsive Keyboard, no Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver to Disable. I apologize for the Inconvenience.

The Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver enables the Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and eCompass sensors that provide rotation control functionality typically used in detachable and convertible system. This package is provided for supported models running a supported operating system.

Try this Intel Integrated Sensor Solution Driver https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp75001-75500/sp75138.exe

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to latest BIOS from HP.COM
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
