Hi Cloud,

I tried to download all those drivers you recommended, but after that, I still couldn't get the wireless connection. After a few fruitless re-trials, I decided to heed your earlier suggestion to simply buy the factory recovery disc set from HP.

The disc set came pretty quickly. But here is the problem I encountered while I tried it out (I actually posted a new request on this board at around 9:45PM 12/15/2012 from "Jackx", so please reply to this newly posted message I could give you all the proper dues). Thanks again for your tireless helps!

Notebook:

HP Pavilion g7-1070us

OS: Window 7 home premium 64-bit

Problem:

Notebook failed to start. Bought recovery disc set from HP and tried to do the factory restore (Factory image recovery).

The first two steps went smoothly:

1) "Reformatting the window partition of the ard drive;"

2) "Copying files required to restore the hard-drive;"

But at step 3): "Restoring files to the hard-drive", when the progress bar showed 46%, it got stuck and the following  error message popped up:

Copy File Fails

From: E:/PRELOAD/BASE3.SWM

To: C:/RM/Image/BASE3.SWM

I tried a few times and every time it got stuck at exactly the same point.

PLease help!!!! Thanks a lot!!

HI Disktop:

I would be pleased to help. I gathered  that you have an issue with the Recovery Manager. Would you please provide  me with  a few details. What model computer do you have? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number  click here. What operating system are you running?  What happens when you try to do the recovery? For your convenience I am including a link to "Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 7)" click here. Please let me know how it turns out.
