HP Sleekbook 15
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Norton Antivirus will not even detect it and Microsoft Security Scanner says it could only partially remove the threat. Im also getting tons of error/events listed in the event viewer about several programs or drivers being corrupted and failing. Ive spent hours trying everything I know to try to solve all this but to no avail. can anyone please help?

Hi @kidkoax2

Welcome.

This is a known false alarm on Microsoft side. Please, read this topic here >>

and follow the steps to exclude it from scanning.

On Windows 8 you should *not* use 2 antivirus programs at the same time. Windows Defender (the built-in antivirus) should be used (not MSE) or better will be Norton.
