Okay, thanks anyway. I'm just a bit disappointed that you won't let me ask for help here... HP offers no Windows 7 support for our laptops, but I thought this forum section was supposed to compensate for that—to let us help each other with our dv2000 issues. Guess I was wrong. :?|

Hi Ander,
I've read your thread which Daniel moved the other day and I must say that, I agreed with Daniel.
1. Related to your Windows 7 automatically log you off from time to time, you'd better looking into Windows 7 topic as this got something to do with the OS itself.
2. You said that your system worked fine under XP, Vista for dual monitor and again, if it does not work under Windows 7, you should look Windows 7 section.
In this thread, it is only for people who get problem when upgrading to windows 7, and the problem restricted to the fully operatable laptop itself.
Hope the info serves your request and of course, everyone are welcome in here!

@Jamesnb wrote:Also, is there any connection between Display driver and Audio driver? I have seen in Nvidia folder 2 sub-folders: one for graphic and the other for audio. Just wonder if they have anything to do with each other...
This are Nvidia HDMI audio drivers.
@Jamesnb wrote:WI doubt my hardware has a problem... This laptop has been around for more than 3 years already... Is there any software check for hardware-error?
In my opinion all points to problem with graphic card: heating, loosing display and recovery display error.
@Jamesnb wrote:Worse yet, every time I go to Windows Index Experience and try to re-access the hardware, the screen becomes scattered, pixellated, distorted and will lead to a system hang/frozen that need a Power button!
This tells me that my above theorem looks to be true.
You may post screen which will shows us this problem or even upload on YouTube movie with it.

Hi Daniel,
As promised, I have made a screen recording for the "Mouse Pointer Shaking" (I call it myself!) problem. In the middle of nowhere, it cropped up again last night! (it's gone before and now returning back!). This happens when I touch the Pad and leave my finger on it.

Also, as the minidump file, I have managed to get one right after the BSOF with 197.16 Nvidia Driver. The cause was the file "nvlddmkm.sys". I have managed to replace the file with a new one but the problem still exist.

Have a look and see if you have any idea...

This is a problem with graphic card not drivers. I'm so sorry, but I can't do anything about it. Here You may find other users on our forum which are reporting about this issue.

This link takes me again to this dump file. Could You change it for correct one? Tnx.
There is now new ALPS TouchPAd driver in guide. Please test it.
Note:
Uninstall old driver first.

Hello, I'm using DV2608tx, running on Win7 Ultimate, and currently having temperatures issues.
For now, I just want to report the 3VRX link on page 1 is dead.
Although I have no drivers issues except for the high temperatures, should I installed the drivers on the page 1?
Because all the drivers I had seems to be outofdates, but works fine...
And about my temperatures, first update is via windows updates, then I noticed the heat, tried the 8400M GS on march released, and on June released, all three gave me GPU temperatures 68-115C, tried the vista driver NB8M GS from the previous swsetup folder which I save, same problems... I'm currently trying to wipe all the nvdia thingy, and downloading 197.16. I'll get back later with reports...
And monitor drivers, mine was generic pnp monitor.
SD Host adapters, was SDA Standart Compliant SD Host Controller.
Was it the right ones or can U suggest what driver should I use on my DV2608tx, thanks~

Tried all... Uninstalling through control panel (reboot) and safemode using driver sweeper (reboot) install NVIDIA 197.16 (link from page 1) in safemode... Temperatures are still high... Used a cooling pad (blows air) already... What to do?
Is there any drivers I've not install or installed uncorrect?

@ErN35T
Hi,
Uninstall your current graphic driver with procedure that is written in previous posts.
Install driver from Windows Update:
1.Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking ' All Programs ', and then clicking ' Windows Update '.
2.In the left pane, click ' Check for updates ', and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
3.Select the ' Optional Updates ' and install from there only driver for your graphic card.
This driver may work better for You.
It looks then You are next user with defected graphic card.
