It's not the right PCID. The PCID I have got on the dv7 is at least 27 digits long. Perhaps a PCID from a faulty machine could work.

I have got only one letter and the rest is numbers (including 14 zeros).

I am back at it again upgrading this notebook i have the PM45 chipset and bios update F.65 and windows 7 ultimate 64bit but it wont let me boot with anymore then 6Gb of Ram It is ddr2 800mhz pc2 6400 I have 8gb i would like to install but it will turn on but the screen stays black i have already verified and both slots and sticks are working
