PLEASE HELP ME GET THE RIGHT HDMI DRIVERS FOR HP LAPTOP MODEL 15-031SI, I HAVE TRIED ALMOST EVERYTHING, I THOUGHT HP AS THE MAKERS WILL BE ABLE TO HELP NOW IM NOT SO SURE
@cklellie wrote:Same here.
Model - HP Pavilion dv6-3150sa
OS - Upgraded from Windows 7 Home 64bit to Windows 10 Home 64 bit.
Spent all day trying different suggestions.
1, Upgraded drivers for Device Manager-> Display Adapter -> ADM Mobility Radeon 5000 series using windows update.
- version: 15.200.1046.2
2, Upgraded drivers from AMD site:
- version: 15.200.1062.1002
3a, Original drivers for Windows 7:
Disabled windows updates for drivers to stop it automatically removing them.
Uninstalled all AMD software.
Download/ Extract/ Install SP50640.
Display Adapter now shown as ATI Mobility Radeon 5450 drivers from 2010 version 8 something.
3b, Original drivers for Windows 7 installed using compatibility mode and Windows 7 mode.
This option was the closest I got to it working as when I plugged in the HDMI cable it actually made the pluggin in cable windows sound and a new Generic PnP Monitor appeared in Device Manager but still not thing.
Though if I tried to open ATI Control Panel nothing the process launched but nothing actually opened and the process disappeared without error message.
4, Windows Hardware Troubleshooting
I know this is an old laptop - not been test by HP on Windows 10 etc etc, but it is the only issue I have outstanding having upgraded to Windows 10 and I see lots of others with similar issues, so please can you look at providing a fix.

I managed to fix this.
This is an intel graphic graphic drivers issue. Go to the intel website for the drivers of your second gaphic card (the motherboard integrated intel, in my case for the hp envy 15 was the 4600HD). https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25489/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-
THen install then with the HDMI in. If it says that the drivers that you're about to install are older, click on the audio drivers and install it anyway.
THis fixed my problem right away.
hope it helps.
cheers

I have the same problem:
HDMI video output (to TV) does not work.
I tried the Intel graphics driver upgrade suggested by pizzaia, but unfortunately it wasn't compatible with my system. I also tried another driver from Intel (Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows® 7*, 8.1*, 10 (3rd Gen & BYT)), but still the same problem: not compatible.
My system is: HP Pavilion dv7
OS: Windows 10
Is there any solution for this configuration, short of downgrading to Windows 7?

After checking out this forum it turned out to be way easier than it seems. I went into HP recovery and rolled back the intel high def graphics driver. I restarted the computer and... poof, it worked! No need to be all complicated and no need to run in compatibility mode. I had windows version 8.1 before my upgrade to windows 10.

Hi! Here is the most accurate fix.
I didn't expect the same problem on my HP dv6-3305er cause I infrequently use HDMI connection… but yesterday I became sad for this issue.
Well. You should install latest Radeon Software Crimson Edition Beta for your graphic card.

Then it’s necessary to reboot your system and… it works!
My current display driver version is 15.300.1025.1001. Intel HD Graphics 8.15.10.2900. Windows 10 Pro Insider build 11082

Thank you agarkov. Radeon Software Crimson Driver Beta solved my problem. I was checking this thread since windows 10 is out. I knew there will be a new solution or driver and a good person will write it to here. I would like to buy you a beer if you can send me your paypal 😃

Thanks Agarkov!
I confirm the latest Crimson Beta drivers from AMD fixed the problem and installed on my HP Notebook without a problem. With all the previous AMD drivers they always complained saying the AMD hardware was not valid (I am guessing becuase it is a custom cluster mess). The new drivers work marvellously. Thanks again!
