Anyway you can tell me what driver to install as well? I did a clean install of Vista 32 bit and I need a wireless driver. I tried to download one, but it stated to enable it via the "Device Manager" but I could not find it.

Really frustrated, please help!

I did the same thing trying to delete VMware.  My network adapter connects.  I'm not sure what I deleted but I am not able to make a secure connection with my military ID anymore to us.army.mil or https://web.mail.mil.  My certificate is not recognized or something is wrong with SSL and TSL.

I went to Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center>Wireless Network Connection>Wireless Connection Status>Properties>Wireless connection properties.

A microsoft tutorial instructed to delete VMware Bridge Protocol.  I checked the box but didn't highlight it.  I had something else highlighted and clicked delete.  What ever I deleted messed up the TCP/IP stack.  I can't find a list of what is supposed to be in there and what the setting are supposed to be.

I realized I deleted the wrong thing when I saw a line disapper and the VMware Bridge Protocol was still there.  I found and installed Link-Layer Topology Discovery Responder in the add protocol menu.  I tried to repair the TCP/IP stack using 'netsh' commands but none of it seems to work.  I reinstalled the Atheros AR5009 802.11a/g/n WiFi Adapter.  Still no success.  I'm at a loss.  The current installed protocols and services in the Wireless Connection Properties are:

-Client for Microsoft Networks

-VMware Bridge Protocol (because I finally fixed and re-installed VMware)

-VirtualBox Bridged Network Driver

-QoS Packet Scheduler

-File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks

-Link-Layer Topography Discovery Responder

-Reliable Multicast Protocol

-Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)

-Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

-Link-Layer Topology Discovery Mapper I/O Driver

Hello Colehedrick15,

I see that you are having problems with a deleted driver on your HP computer. I would like to help with this issue but I need some information.

Can you provide the full model and product number of the computer? Here is a link that shows how to find that information.

Refer the below link, select the Operating system, click on Next and download the drivers needed:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=4307222&task=&

If you still need drivers, please follow these steps:
1. In the Run box type devmgmt.msc.
2. Unknown devices would be listed as such and marked out with a yellow question mark.
3. Select the unknown device or other device for which you need drivers and right click to access Properties.
4. In the Properties window click on Details tab and select Device Instance Id  or Hardware ID from the drop down.
5. An alphanumeric string like this PCI\VEN_1217&DEV_7130&SUBSYS_012F1025&REV_01\4&6B16D5B&0&33F0 is the identification marker for the device.
6. Please provide this number so that we can suggest the appropriate driver.
