The first one is an Intel Pro 100 VE network adapter.

The second one is a Broadcom PCI B/G wireless network adapter.

I will try and find the drivers for you if you provide 3 things...

1. The full model # of your desktop PC

2.  The operating system you are runnng (and if it is 32 or 64 bit).

3.  The model of the PCI wireless adapter. It uses a broadcom chip but it is made by Linksys, or some other manufacturer.

Here is the information, but I can’t find the model of the wireless adapter.

1 Model #: Gateway M305CRV

2 Microsoft Windows XP Professional   Version 2002  Service Pack 3  64 bit

OK...

This driver should install the wired network adapter for XP 64 bit.

The Broadcom wireless...well maybe I found one that will work but I can't guarantee it.

I have zipped it up and attached it below. It is a very small file so I was able to do that for you.

You will have to manually install the wireless driver.  To do that, unzip the file to a folder (make a new folder if you have to).

Now, go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller with the yellow ? mark.  Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the manual search and browse to that folder and hopefully the drivers will install.

If the wireless drivers don't install then it can't be done. I found the specs on the wireless card in your notebook and there is no support for any 64 bit OS.

Hi, ladyh39:

Please go into the device manager, click on the network controller and post the hardware ID for it.

I will also need to know what operating system your probook is running.

If you don't know how to find a hardware ID, please see the info at the link below.

It took me a while to install them, but now both drivers are working OK. Thanks for all the help Paul.

You're very welcome.

Glad you got them to work.

Hi, I'm also having the same problem.

My Network Controller is listed as an other device, and I can't connect to the internet. My Network adapter is a Realtek RTL8102E/RTL8103E Family PCI-E FastEthernet.

I'm using a HP G62 Notebook PC on Windows 7 Professional.
