Hi:
That one needs the chipset driver. First file listed.
Now, that driver should not be missing if you have already installed the chipset driver.
If the above chipset driver fails to install the device, then you need to do some troubleshooting.
Please read this thread which seems similar, if not the same issue as you are having...Dont do anything with it, just read it.
Now, see this below post. This post was a continuation of the one above. Mumbodog's response should help you resolve that issue.
How do I find the drivers...I google the first line of the hardware ID, and then I know what HP model PC's have that hardware and know where to find the driver.
In your case, since you didn't provide the model # for your PC, I just gave you the latest chipset driver directly from Intel.
Otherwise, you could use the chipset driver from your notebook's support and driver page, but it will be outdated, I presume.

I am having the same problem as everyone else I think.
I recently installed a new hard drive into my laptop and it says im miss the Ethernet Controller, Network controoler and PCI simple communications controller.
the ids are
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_1692&SUBSYS_306D1025&REV_01
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8174&SUBSYS_818610EC&REV_10
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_036D1025&REV_06
This is the top result when i click on details and hardware id for each of the drivers.
I am using Windows 7 OS
Can someone please help me with this.
