"F2 system diagnostics

The only way to exit out of it is to shut off the computer.

Hello SS1.

This error implies that there is a problem with your hard drive.  You should run the built in diagnostic on the hard drive and post the result.  This document has instructions.

Also, what is your notebook's product number?

Have a great day.

Have you tried cleaning under the keys on the keyboard with compressed air?

Have you ever spilled anything on the notebook?

Have yuo tried using an external keyboard?

Have you tried hard resetting the notebook as per these instructions?

  1. Shut down the notebook.
  2. Remove the battery and AC power.
  3. Perss and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds three times.
  4. Replace the battery and AC power.
  5. Verify whether the problem persists.

Have a great day.

Hello cassandra912.

Have you run the diagnostics on your hard drive and memory?  This document has the steps.  Make sure to post the results of both.

Also, what is the product number of your notebook?

Have a great day.
