Hi there @awesomedave332

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome! This is a great site to get answers and ask questions. I have looked into the issue you are having with the LED light Flashing.

Could you please provide me with Model of your HP Pavilion Sleekbook?

I did some research and found a couple of documents for you based on the issue you had described.

The first document is called HP Notebook PCs - Battery Does Not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge. This document says "If the battery indicator LED, located near the power icon, either does not glow or always blinks, there is a battery problem. Your computer might operate correctly when it is connected to the power adapter, but not when using battery power."

The next couple of documents are to help with troubleshooting.

1. HP Notebook PCs - Testing and Calibrating the Battery (Windows 😎.

2. HP Notebook PCs - Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter.

Please follow these provided troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know how everything went and your Model.

Thank you!

Have a great day!

I also removed the battery and plugged in only the charger and the computer turned on and worked perfectly. After I did this was when the power indicator stopped flashing

 Hi there @awesomedave332

If I understand correctly, when you take out the battery and plug in only the AC Power Adapter, the Notebook power's on without any problems.

Could you please try putting the battery back in while the Notebook is powered on and plugged in?

If you can and the Notebook stays powered on, please do the troubleshooting outlined in the Testing and Calibrating the Battery document in my previous post. Sometimes calibrating the battery can put it back into good standing.

If you cannot put the battery back in without the Notebok powering off, you may need to take it to a repair facility or replace the battery. At this point it would be hard to tell if it was just the battery that did not work, or if it is the connection between the battery and the Notebook.

If you are able to do the testing for the battery and you receive an error message saying "Battery Not Detected", you would have to take the Notebook to a repair facility.

If you receive an error message saying that the battery was tested and it failed, then you would be look at replacing the battery.

Hope this helps!
