Hi there @ann48,
May the Forums be with you! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand that you arel ooking for some information on what some of the codes in a model number could mean. I am happy to assist with this.
Please see the following page: HP Pavilion (computer) - wikipedia.org. On that page there is a section on "Model number suffixes". It is not complete as there are many others, but it gives the idea. Some codes are about the processor, or the regions the unit is to sold in, this could be due to power supplies, power cords, or possible wireless adapters as different countires have their own regulations about broadcast power, the number of channels in a frequency range, and other variables.
Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

It is hard to come up with a comprehensive list, as new codes are added all the time. Please see the following forum post, What do the part number suffixes mean? and the comments by @banhien.
