Hi guys
I have a very similar problem as the one listed above.
I have a soundstation 2w it is plugged into own avaya ip office 500.
The conference button on the soundstation does not function properly. To do conference calls we have to use the avaya short code which is *47. It is difficult formadmin staff to make conference calls.
My question is this, can I either
1) change the short code for the conference button on the soundstation to be *47
Or
2) what is the default short code on the soundstation and I will add it to avaya. I.e. perhaps it is *3 ?
Of course any other suggestions are welcome
Thanks

Hello Ryan,
I had hoped that the FAQ would be clear enough but I may need to rephrase it a bit to explain the function.
Pressing Flash (if the Flash Duration is set correctly on the SoundStation!) will place the Call on Hold.
NOTE: This depends on the analog line being used to allow a 2nd call / Dial Tone!
If the 1st call is on hold usually pressing the Flash button again get's the 1st call back
NOTE: This depends on the analog line being used!
If the Call is placed on hold via the SoundStation's Flash Button the functionality to invoke another call or conference calls together depends completely on the analog line and has nothing to do with the SoundStation.
You will need to liaise with your PABX / PSTN Administrator.
If your code as described for your PABX is the *47 then the procedure most likely is:
- 1st Call comes into the SoundStation or you place a Call from the SoundStation.
- Press Flash to place 1st call on hold
- Dial 2nd Caller
- Press Flash to place 2nd call on hold
- Dial *47
Above is a completely normal procedure for analog Phone lines and depends on your PABX / PSTN Line.
You can always reproduce this using a normal analog Phone.
The Flash / Join Keys are both sending a Flash Signal.
