Hello folks,
I just started a new job and they have a Soundstation 2W that they wanted to get hooked up. It has worked in the past, but not at the moment. As soon as I connected it to power the screen just displays "SS2W USB Download Ready to start download." I tried to back out of this but none of the buttons on the unit are responsive. So I assumed it was stuck in the middle of an update. I went to the support site, downloaded the firmware update software, and followed the instructions. It took a couple of tries to get it to recognize that the device was connected. Then it started to proceed and got to step 3 which was preparing the station to update and then stopped saying it could not find the device. I followed the troubleshooting instructions as far as I could, but as i said before when I hit the menu button there is no response from the device. I've tried removing the battery and it comes up still the same message on the screen. Is there some sort of reset to default button outside of working through the menus? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Gibson

Hello Gibson,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Most likely a person prior to you has tried to upgrade the software and somehow this failed.
You can try and run the Update Software as an Administrator but if this also fails the unit can no longer recovered by an end user.
What is the serial number printed on the bottom of the Unit?

Hello Aboo,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
Not knowing how the unit got into this state please consider that G208080625209 was sold back in 11/04/2008 so you should consider investing into some new hardware.
Our Support Team already explained that to you via ticket reference 1-6105556032
