Hi,
This is the setup I am using:
*AVAYA IP403 Office switch.
*Avaya 30 port IP400 Digital Station.
*IP office manager 5.2.
I got a SoundStation2 Avaya 2940 when I plug it in on a digital port I get no dial tone. It says ready but I get no dial tone. If I plug one of the regular phones we use (Lucent 4412D+) it takes the extension assigned to that particular port right away. Even if I delete the extension, and plug in my SoundStation2 the system won't recognize it.
It shows under IP Office Manager as an unknown IP Device which is weird because it is not an IP phone.
I don't know what to try now,
Thanks.

Hello Jose,
welcome to the Polycom Community.
The Polycom SoundStation 2 Avaya 2940 page => here <= states as follows:
"The Polycom SoundStation2 Avaya 2490 is the ideal conference phone for Avaya DEFINITY digital PBX environments.
Simply connect the conference phone directly into a DEFINITY ECS digital wall jack and start making calls. You don’t need an analog port, analog adapter, or complicated connections to take advantage of Polycom’s legendary voice quality in your conference rooms."
Above does not mention your PABX and you would need to contact Avaya support for any follow up queries.
Please ensure to provide some feedback if this reply has helped you so other users can profit from your experience.
