I am already installing 1.4.0. I chatted with support and they don't know what the error is and sent me to my IT support. Tech can't even tell me what the default directory it installs to.

It doesn't support 3rd party software, the manufacturer needs to.  Other apps install fine, I am local admin.

Thank you for the confirmation.

This error code 2356  will occur if the installable file is corrupted, I would request that you download the new file and try again.

And as an alternative, you can use the Plantronics Hub application, which you can download by following the below link.

I have a user with the Savi 2200 Office headset, we tried to install the Poly Lens app, it won't complete the install. We made several attempts uninstalling between each attempt, I found this and downloaded the Plantronics Hub, it won't run either, both show in Task Manager but don't launch to allow changes to the configuration. There is 2 months of warranty on this headset, if we can't get this to work we will return it. What other solutions can we try?

Support sent me Lens 1.3.2 and I was able to install that.  They are blaming 1.4.0 is not installing due to permissions issues, but they don't know.

Did you attempt to install the Plantronics Hub? I tried running the Poly Lens as Administrator which did not help so I don't think it's a permissions issue, we have admin rights to our laptops. We are running Windows 11 if that makes any difference.

HP Recommended

I never attempted to install the Hub. I am local admin and I can install any other app including the older version of Lens, so I don't see where it is a permissions issue. Once support knew I was on a Corporate laptop they said contact IT.  Most IT depts don't support 3rd party apps and they know that.

I think it is very poor service to have an error code built into the application and support has no way of looking up the error. A developer wrote that error code into the app.

Hello @dangrus ,

welcome to the HP Poly community.

A quick Google search >here< after I spoke to someone with access to the source code shows this is a Microsoft MSI install error.  I am not aware of any other user worldwide facing the same issue but I did mention it in an internal meeting.

Best Regards
