Poly Lens
Microsoft Windows 11

We are working to update our software within the firm and migrate from primarily versions 1.5 and 1.8 to version 2.1 of Poly Lens. Could you please offer direction the below:

Summary

  • When installing via command line we previously used the switches listed below.
    • ALLUSERS=1
    • TENANTTOKEN=TENANTTOKENFORCOMPANY
  • Previously this installed the program for all users and suppressed the EULA agreement. Now this is no longer suppressing the EULA prompt. Also attempting to use the switch ACCEPTEULA=0 was also not successful.

Questions

  1. How can we get the EULA to be accepted via the command line installer?
  2. Where is the setting that logs the agreement for the EULA? If we have to we can input the data into the registry or app data if you could provide this information.
  3. Previously we’ve had to use an “active setup” to add the program to the startup folder for each user account. Will the new version of Poly Lens do this for all users by default?

Not sure how much further you have got on this.  We're in the same boat at the moment with previous command line switches no longer working.  I found that the log file "%LocalAppData%\Poly\LensDesktop\Logs\main.log" was useful in at least finding the correct registry keys it's looking for for the EULA. Once I changed the EULA in the command line to acceptEULA=0, matching the case used in the reg key, it worked.

The keys the command line mentions:

  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, Preload
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, noData
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, Version
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, CallControllAppVersion
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, Tenant Token
  • HKLM\SOFTWARE\Poly\Poly Lens Desktop, acceptEula

Hopefully this helps.

My next step is forcing use as guest and not having a user login.
