Poly Lens

Hello! I'm trying to auto-provision several hundred Poly Edge E Series devices using Poly Lens. My voice provider is Vonage, and I'm using Vonage Business Cloud as well.

My devices are registered with Vonage, and without using Lens, all devices function as expected. The issue is when I configured DHCP for option 160 and pointed to the Poly Lens provisioning server, the phones stop registering with Vonage.

The reason I want to use Lens is to bulk provision the phones with custom background images, and set up group configurations. I believe I'm missing something but haven't been able to figure out what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Best,

Tommy

Hello @TommyTommyTom ,

Welcome to the HP community.

Unfortunately, your post does not contain the currently used Software version for the HP Poly product you use.

This is important especially in the future when someone finds this post in days, months, or years to come. Please do not simply edit the original post but reply with the versions.

This is stated in the FAQ or the Read 1st section, explaining why this is important.

In regards to your actual question, if the phone has a provisioning server provided to it, aka via the DHCP option, it will try and download the configuration from there. It will overwrite any previous configuration and only use the new configuration.

If you have the details for the Phone SIP registration you can use a CSV import via Lens and provision the phones SIP registration to Vonage.

Our VoIP FAQ has this:

Oct 7, 2011 Question: How can I set up my Phone / Provisioning / Download / Upgrade / Update / Downgrade Software?
Resolution: Please check => here <= and you need Poly Lens now to get access to Poly Software.

Mar 08, 2013 QuestionWhat files does my phone download or upload and why?

Resolution: Please check => here <=

Jun 27, 2018 Question: How can I determine what source or order a configuration value came from or what is the priority of this?

ResolutionDetails => here <=

Best regards
