- [Reminder] Microsoft Teams ASOP deadline 10/03/2025
Hello all,
We originally posted this via AOSP Migration for Teams Android Devices
“Please ensure your devices are updated to AOSP builds by October 3rd. If auto updates did not update all devices in your organization, please manually update them. This is to ensure continuous and secure access to device resources, as AOSP contains security fixes within the Microsoft Entra ID authentication stack, and ESTS service side changes are coming in early October to check for this build. If devices are not on an AOSP build, they will sign out and not be able to sign in again, until migrating to an AOSP device management build in Teams Admin Center."
Here are some valuable Microsoft resources for the AOSP migration:
- As a Global Teams Admin run Microsoft Remote Connectivity Analyzer: Test Input
- AOSP migration Admin guide
- AOSP migration FAQs
- CAPE Team Webinar from August 2024 (Matt Slomka)
- Video available here
From an HP Poly perspective, for devices that are currently signed into Microsoft Teams:
- AOSP policy is needed in Intune
- Upgrade to PolyOS 4.5.1 and enable AOSP via the Device web interface or Poly Lens
After enabling AOSP and waiting the migration to complete, please ensure both the device and the touch panel are signed into Microsoft Teams - Upgrade the device to PolyOS 4.6.0
For devices that have never been signed into Microsoft Teams, an upgrade to PolyOS 4.6.0 or later is sufficient to enroll these.
