You can upgrade compatible endpoint devices to PolyOS 5.0 in Poly Clariti Manager.
NOTE: Poly VideoOS 5.0 release is a one-way upgrade and cannot be rolled back.

This release supports the digest authentication protocol.

This version supports the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-3 certification standard.

The guest book provides a way to store conference participants that aren't managed by the Poly Clariti Manager system.
- Installing the Poly Clariti Manager, Appliance Edition, software using a bootable USB flash drive
This release supports installation of the Poly Clariti Manager system software using a USB flash drive.
- Enabling or disabling face-tracking events
Face tracking collects participant counts at different points during a video conference. Poly Clariti Manager uses face-tracking data in call detail record (CDR) reports.
- Support for new endpoints
Poly Clariti Manager now supports Poly Edge E320 and Edge E350 devices.
PolyOS 5.0 upgrade

You can upgrade some endpoint devices to PolyOS 5.0 in Poly Clariti Manager.
Poly Clariti Manager displays a warning when you upload the PolyOS 5.0 file and you can continue the upload or cancel. If you continue, Poly Clariti Manager prevents sending the upgrade file to some endpoints (see the following lists of unsupported providers and unsupported hardware). Logs are captured when Poly Clariti Manager does not send the upgrade file.
Upgrades to PolyOS 5.0 are supported only for the following providers and hardware.

Poly Clariti Manager 10.12.3 supports the KVM qcow2 disk image format.
Digest authentication support

This release supports the digest authentication protocol.
From this release onward, Poly Clariti Manager supports digest authentication with Poly CCX Series, Poly Trio C60, and Poly Edge E endpoints. When authenticating, if basic authentication with an endpoint fails, Poly Clariti Manager will try authenticating with digest.
When using digest authentication, Poly Clariti Manager supports MD5 and SHA-256 encryption.
