What's New

This feature release of Poly VideoOS is available for Microsoft Teams and Poly Device Mode.

Poly VideoOS 5.0.0 is a major feature release with the following new features, updates, and fixes.

Hardware, connectivity, and configuration features

This release includes the following new hardware support, connectivity, and configuration features:

  • This release contains an Android 13 update for only Poly Studio G62, Poly Studio X32, Poly Studio X52, and Poly Studio X72 systems. Poly TC10 touch controllers go to Android 12.

See Platform Update to Android 13

  • Partner applications are no longer bundled in the main software package. The partner application downloads once you upgrade to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0 on your particular provider. Ensure that your firewall or web proxy doesn't block HTTP/HTTPS requests to: swupdate.lens.poly.com.

Your system must be running Poly VideoOS 4.6.0 before updating to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0. If your system runs software earlier than VideoOS 4.6.0, your system automatically loads VideoOS 4.6.0 before it updates to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0.

Note: This release supports only Microsoft Teams and Poly Device Mode. Your device must be in one of these modes to upgrade successfully to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0.

Enhancements and fixes

This release provides many quality-focused enhancements and fixes to resolve customer issues. Notable resolved issues include:

  • The microphones intermittently disconnect from the system on a Poly Studio X72 video bar with IP-connected Poly ceiling microphones (PVENG-33441).

Platform Update to Android 13

Your system updates from Android 10 to Android 13 and your Poly TC10 touch controller updates from Android 11 to Android 12.

This release also updates the system’s factory restore partition to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0.

Note: Downgrading to previous VideoOS versions is not supported. Once you update your system to Poly VideoOS 5.0.0, you cannot downgrade.
