HP Poly supported partner application changes
HP Poly has removed support for native Tencent mode on Poly Studio X series, Poly G7500, and Poly Studio G62 devices in Poly VideoOS 4.6.1.
Support remains for devices on Poly VideoOS 4.6.0 or earlier for a limited period. HP Poly advises Tencent native mode users to transition to a dedicated device mode. Use the Tencent app running on a laptop or desktop and connect it to an HP Poly device via USB.
HP Poly will remove support for native GoTo Meeting and DialPad modes on Poly Studio X series, Poly G7500, and Poly Studio G62 devices in the upcoming Poly VideoOS 4.6.2. Support will end for GoTo Meeting and DialPad users on June 1, 2026. HP Poly advises GotTo Meeting and DialPad native mode users to transition to a dedicated device mode. Use the GotTo Meeting or DialPad app running on a laptop or desktop and connect it to an HP Poly device via USB.
Camera auto-recovery mechanism
There's a new auto-recovery mechanism for Poly cameras that quickly recovers a stream following an error.
This recovery mechanism can swiftly recover a stream after it detects an error. Users may experience a few seconds of black video during this time.
In cases where the auto-recovery mechanism fails to resolve the issue, HP Poly has also designed a manual intervention option. You can now recover a camera stream by muting and unmuting the camera or by swapping tracking modes.
HP Poly Multi-Mic Mode and Auto Mic Switching enabled
HP Poly Multi-Mic Mode and Auto Mic Switching are now both enabled.
Multi-Mic Mode is supported on any Poly Studio X72, Poly Studio X52, Poly Studio X32 and Poly Studio G62 system that can support two or more Poly Studio A2 Table Microphones. This feature captures audio from up to four microphones at the same time and is recommended for large rooms with multiple participants.
In the system web interface, go to Audio > General Audio and select Multi-Mic Mode.
Auto Mic Switching is also now supported on Poly Studio X72 and Poly Studio X52 video bars with external connected microphones such as the Poly Studio A2 Table Microphone, Poly Studio Table microphone (formerly known as RealPresence Debut Expansion microphone) or Poly IP table or ceiling microphones.
In the system web interface, go to Audio > General Audio and select Auto Mic Switching.
When Multi-Mic Mode and Auto Switching are both enabled, the best microphone is selected between built-in and external microphones. The best microphone is then mixed with the remaining Poly Studio A2 Table Microphones.
When Auto Mic Switching is turned off and Multi-Mic Mode is on, the built-in microphones are ignored, and multiple Poly Studio A2 Table Microphones are mixed.
