Your suggestion does not work. I get a message "object already exists" and nothing happens!

I've been trying to download and install the driver for hours and this is where it stops.

The forum is not "chat".  What is your question?   Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? If you have an Officejet 6500a please read the entire thread here, the question has been asked and answered several or many times in this thread.

 

 

If you have Windows 7 or later the driver wizard  at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may you download and install the proper drivers.
