go here and put your product number in.
when I entered your model number it brought up 2 dif options. Select yours then select your operating system.
It will have downloads available the drivers and installation software.

Hello all
The Officejet 6500A Driver can be found by following the link below. Just choose your operating system from the drop down and select Driver. You have the option of the basic print and scan driver or the full software package. Download and install the driver. You should be set.

Look at the top of this page, click on the "Support and Drivers" link. Next enter your printer model, then select the operating system. Download the appropriate driver and then run the install file. Do not connect the printer until instructed to by the installer.
