hi.

its regarding Hp smart tank 515 aoi.

i dont know but printer can print from plain papers to photo papers and cards.

1. is there a weight threshhold too beyond which printer doesnt print..i printed on a 260 gsm (a4 size sheets) and once it printed the entire page correctly and twice it didnt.

And 2. can it print sticker papers( couldnt print entire page as 260gsm plain papers)(coz stickers have 2 layers; after printing take off one layer to stick it)), of equal or lesser weight(same size as 2d dimensions). referring to hp smart tank 515 aoi.

So is there a precisely a weight or size range beyond which printer is slow or incapable. If yes then what is the weight range in gsm s. I think its  a printer, so must print any weight in grams same way as plain paper.(ofcourse im not talking of printing 5-10papers same time).

plz i need help in this issue.

@Valsimotis correct .

The paper you are using is too heavy.

Selecting (choosing) Photo paper when a different paper type is loaded in the tray does not usually work as expected.  Many printers can recognize photo type and cannot be fooled.  Photo paper is supported to 300 gsm.

"Card" paper is generally defined as "Index" paper.  Index paper is an ISO paper type. HP Card or Index card is not considered "Card Stock".  HP Card paper / Index paper is supported to 200 gsm.

Brochure and Professional paper are generally the same thing.  Brochure paper comes in two print surfaces:  Matte and Glossy.  These paper types are generally 180 gsm in weight.

Envelopes, "Other" paper, and Plain paper are supported (as mentioned by @Valsimot ) from 60-90 gsm.

Media sizes supported (metric)
A4; B5; A6; DL envelope
Media sizes, custom (metric)
76.2 x 127 to 215.9 x 355.6 mm
Media types
Plain paper, Matte Brochure Papers, Glossy Brochure Papers, Photo papers, Envelopes, Other specialty inkjet papers
Media weight supported (metric)
Plain paper: 60 to 90 g/m²; Envelopes: 75 to 90 g/m²; Cards: up to 200 g/m²; Photo paper: up to 300 g/m²
Borderless printing
Yes (up to 8.5 x 11 in, 210 x 297 mm)

When printing labels if the paper type you are seeking is not listed,

If the paper is within the weight class for the Brochure paper or the Card paper, select Brochure or Professional paper type.

Look for the weight of your paper on the package in which the paper was purchased or check the specifications at the website where you purchase the paper.
