HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

I purchased a black & multipack cartridges from 1Ink.com. The black worked fine, the multipack - no!  I contacted them and they told me that due to a download (automated/manual) their cartridges may not work and to contact HP for info.  Great advice, you can't TALK to anyone at HP. Anyway, I noticed that the "chip" on the HP cartridge is smaller than the 1Ink.com cartridge, they told me they had the latest & greatest update and to talk to HP for the download info.

Do any of you out there have where I can find info on this download???  All I want is my printer to work again!  I'm in the middle of a special project and I've had to change the color to "black only"

There is no way to tell from here what 1Ink.com may or may not have done with their "chips".    HP does have a recent (November 8.2023) update for the firmware for the Officejet Pro 8710 available here that says the following:

From reading this it would appear to me that 1Ink.com has not updated their ID chips to reflect the latest requirements for the dynamic security features of the printer.  I suggest you contact them and enquire about their warranty (if any).
