I recently ordered 2, 3-packs of color cartridges (902)
However, when I installed the first pack, I received a "defective cartridge" for just the cyan.
So... I opened the 2nd pack, installed only the cyan... and received the same error.
There is NO WAY that BOTH and ONLY the cyans are defective.  HOW can I bypass or fix this error message, so that I can resume printing!

Unfortunately it is possible both (and only) cyan cartridges are defective.  See the document here for information.  You will need to Contact HP for replacements.

Wonderful... so now my printer is out of commission until I can get new cartridges shipped.

Sorry about the trouble, I would hope HP can ship you replacements quickly,

 

You may be able to print using black ink only as described in the document above.  You will need to have all the cartridges installed.
