Dear community,
I just replaced my old yellow cartridge, that had been installed out of the box, by one of type 207x.
Unfortunately the printer still shows 207A being installed instead of 207x.
I tried all recommendations regarding validation of genuine cartridges, updated to latest firmware, ...
How can I be sure, that the printer will deliver the higher amount of pages, that fits to 207x catridges?
Did anybody encounter similar experience?
Thanks a lot, Tom

Hi, thanks for your reply...
this printout says: "207A (W2212A)"
On the cardridge itself and the packaging and everywhere you see 207X.
If it is no problem, that the printer thinks it is a 207A, I will leave it as it is... but if the printer won't print more than the pages estimated for the 207A cartridges, I will need to contact my dealer.

If the supplies status page shows the toner is 207A then return it. It will print only 207A number of pages.
Can you print the supplies status page and post it here? It's very uncommon that X toner is recognized as A toner.
