Product: 8028e - i do own it, don't want to register it
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

please make archived firmware available immediately to support 3rd party inks, especially those damaged by DS Feature on printers that aren't included in the CVE security bulletin, like 8028e

 

HP unethically is blocking 3rd party ink cartridges, via firmware updates compelling users after purchasing their printer to

either subscribe to the HP  printer ink service or purchase HP ink from retailers or wholesalers.  HP is being sued for this bad business practice, and disabling end-user printers, it's tax season folks....

 

HP doesn't store old archives of firmware so firmware rollbacks can be accomplished that unbreak the 3rd party ink problem

 

HP employees don't offer solutions, only post webpages justifying the firmware updates breaking end-user printers.
