Following all the instructions exactly, trying many times and still can't fill the ink reservoirs. If HP doesn't know, please don't send the instructions, just say you can't help.

Hi @Claudekw,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer's ink reservoir!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand how frustrating this can be, and I'm truly sorry that the previous steps didn’t resolve the issue. If you haven’t already, please try the following steps:

Verify Ink Valve Position:

  • Ensure that the ink valves are fully opened. Sometimes, the valves may not be completely in the open position, preventing ink from flowing.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Inspect the ink cartridges and reservoirs for any blockages or obstructions that might be preventing ink flow.

Use Original HP Ink:

  • Ensure you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Some third-party cartridges can have compatibility issues.

Reset Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about a minute and then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve the issue.

Perform Manual Cleaning:

  • Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the ink cartridge contacts and the ink reservoir areas. Any dirt or debris could impede ink flow.

I hope this helps.
