HP Deskjet 3051A e-All-in-One Printer - J611h
macOS 12.0 Monterey

In late Feb 2023, I purchased 61XL 2 packs ink cartridge for my HP Deskjet 3051A printer.

Right off the bat, the black ink was printing smudged. I performed head alignment, cleaning of the printer heads but nothing resolved it. I followed instructions here which effectively said to clean the printer head and the electronic strip but nothing helped. In a matter of a few hours, the printer reported - Ink cartridge failure and essentially stopped printing anything.

Went back to WalMart with my receipt where I purchased the pack but they refused to take it back or provide a replacement. They said I need to contact HP, per our policy we cannot take back any printer cartridge that is opened. Well which came first, the egg or the chicken? How would we know that the cartridge failed unless we open it and install in the printer? Anyway no luck.

Turns out HP does not have a number to contact for support on the box. Neither is one available online. The virtual assistant is a piece of **bleep**. The whole HP experience is a piece of **bleep** actually. No wonder no one buys their equipment anymore.

Anyway, I am out $80+ with no discernible option to obtain support for a product that the company ships defective and does not care about their customers to provide any reasonable support option? Any advice for a frustrated person?
