Help! I have an HP 6958 that I got (from costco) for our lake house in 2018 or 2019. At some point, I bought a back-up pack of HP ink cartridges that go with it also from Costco. The lake house is a 4.5 hour drive from Costco. Have barely used the printer being its a second home and used for vacationing. That said, the issue, when I go to use the printer - with the HP ink that I bought for it, I get an error message: "the indicated cartridge is an older generation cartridge that does not work in your printer. It can still be used with some older printer......" This is beyond frustrating as I bought the dang indicated proper HP ink for this now OLD printer! So frustrating, but I need to print, so I decide that I will go to the staples (that is not 4.5 hours away), spend another $100, buy another brand-new HP 902XL ink cartridge in BLACK, BUT the printer STILL gives the same error message. I paid for these HP cartridges and I should be able to use them in my HP printer that I purchased and own whenever I want to. THis is the ink that HP indicated on the printer is the proper ink for the machine. I want HP to send me new cartridges, to replace these duds, that will work in my machine, and I will send these perfectly Good - however, impotent-cartridges back as HP decided to make them useless to me, the buyer of their products. I cant complain directly to HP and Add the product to my account because I also keep getting an error message to add the printer to my dashboard - you have to have the product added to your dashboard to even be able to sent a message to HP regarding their product, BUT their system just says, "try again later." Nice. So they dont have to respond to you - they just dont let you add products they created issues for. SO does anyone know how to contact HP and get a response from a real person? Thank you!
