HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Printing good with half full 902 Cyan cartridge. A few days later would not print Cyan. Cleaned print head 10 times but still no Cyan. Called Instant Ink and they said there was a cartridge problem with Malaysia cartridges - change to a new cartridge. Changed cartridge to one with expiration date of 7/2023. Still no Cyan. It prints Black and other colors fine. Checked the (4) prongs beneath the cartridge and they are not bent. Any ideas?

I have the same issue with the same printer.  I have cleaned the printhead and no luck.  I used a solution to clean the printhead and got it to print all colors once.  Now I am back to square one!  I know they have had issues with the Cyan before.  I wonder if they still are.

When the idiots in India do not speak English it's pretty hard to get any help. I spent 2 hours trying to communicate with these guys. If your printer is still under warranty, call customer support and ask to talk to someone in the Philippines. I did this with my last problem and it was solved in 5 minutes. I had previously spent hours talking to someone in India. My printer is out of warranty so I am probably screwed. The good thing is I bought two printers at the same time so I have a backup. I will try a cleaning cartridge like you did and see what happens. I'll let you know if I get any resolution to the problem.
