I have searched past posts and wonder, since it is 2022, is there a fix to printers not printing Teal?  So frustrating to have a printer and it will not print it.  You would think that HP would fix this problem.  I have tried some of the suggestions to fix it, but still have the problem.  Is there a new fix and one that is easier for us to do???

Welcome to the HP User Community.

Question 1:  Is there a fix to printers not printing Teal?

If you could get your printer to print teal way you expect, you would not be asking the question, I think.

Printing and "my colors are not right" is a common question.

It is true that blues are the most difficult to print correctly.

It is true that the photo you start with is vital to the operation.  Colors and pixel count in the original image file play a part in what you can expect in the result.   Old photos or those with poor color structure and / or low pixel counts do not print as well as those files that meet a higher standard.

Printers can print colors that are made from the ink colors available - how well a printer does the job depends on a number of factors including printer condition, ink supply and condition, and (importantly) what the printer is told to do with the output.

The answer to the second question - Is there a new fix that is easier?

No, there is no magic about which I'm aware that makes matching, correcting, and printing colors, easier than it has been in the past.

The first step is to ensure the printer is doing its best work, that is, the colors that should print do print.

This check is completed, as you likely already checked, using the printer diagnostics to check color and alignment.

Assuming the printer is working as it ought,

The next step is to use a print software that allows you to set the and balance the color as needed to create the output expected.

Depending on the print software, adjust the RGB colors or the CMYK balance to achieve a color "closer to what you want" in the printed output.

It is true that the basic print drivers provided with the printer do not completely address this aspect of color printing.

It is true that what you see on the screen does not duplicate what is printed on the paper.  These are two different methods to perceive and create color.  Without professional equipment, it is sometimes difficult to always match the two methods.  You can sometimes get fairly close using a decent monitor (calibrated), high resolution display, decent edit / print software, and a high-end, excellent condition printer.

Finally, it appears to be true that not all printers are equal in their ability to create all the colors wanted in a photo print.

"Can't print no mater what" is likely a limitation of the printer.

The OfficeJet Pro 8035 is a decent printer - it's not a photo printer, but it is a decent Office printer that prints photos.

The issue might be elsewhere (condition, ink / supplies / settings / color management).

There are perhaps some tools (software) and methods that can help you create a better result.

Whether these are useful depends on your printer, it's abilities (when calibrated to be "its best" version of itself), your software, your skill level, and the time you want to expend on the process to get what you want.

CMYK, which stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black), is the color model for tangible, printed materials, or shortly – CMYK is print colors.

What else?

If you have an ICC color profile you want to use, for example, for PhotoShop / Lightroom,

Add that to the Color Management

Settings > System > Display > Advanced display settings

Select Display (if more than one monitor / display)

Display adapter properties for Display #

Color Management > Color Management box
