HP Officejet Pro 8600 e-All-in-One Printer - N911a

I bought new 950 and 951 cartridges for my printer from Best Buy.  When I installed the yellow cartridge, my printer immediately had an error.  I tried resetting and rebooting, etc... but the error remained.  I put the old yellow cartridge back in and the error was gone.  I noticed the working cartridges have a more detailed number, CN052AN.  The new one I bought was labeled CN052A.  It does not have the "N."  But, it is still called a 951.   So, are these new cartridges useless for my printer?  How do I get these new ones to work?  And, if I have to take these back, how will I know in the future whether the "N" exists on the cartridges?  The outside packaging does not include this info.  Please help me get these new cartridges to work.  Thank you!!

I understand that you are getting a cartridge error.

Try updating the firmware. Click here

Perform the steps from this document and see if that helps. If not you may have to replace the cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
