My officejet Pro 8600 running on a Windows 10 HP laptop recently began printing anything green as blue. It's not due to an empty yellow ink cartridge, as the printer prints yellow items correctly. Before doing anything to the printer,  the print quality diagnostic page showed problems with color rendering on test pattern 2. After the reset,  black, cyan, and magenta looked OK, but the yellow block was now green.  After cleaning and aligning the printheads several times, green still prints as blue from Excel, Word, and other applications. All software is up to date, as is the printer firmware. As a last ditch effort, I rebooted my laptop but the problem still exists. Any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

This is either a cartridge or a printer/printhead issue.

Do you've any spare inks for you to try?

Thanks for your suggestions.  I've decided that it's a printhead problem, as I've changed ink cartridges and the problem clears for a while and then returns. I'm also now seeing intermittent problems with other colors, and again, changing cartridges and cleaning & aligning printheads doesn't permanently solve the problem. I'm now trying to decide whether to replace the printhead or buy a new printer.
