HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer

8610 print quality suddenly went bad.  Print was very light with white lines thru it.  I did the diagnostics and cleaned the printer head-no improvement.  The latest diagnostic page has sections at the top that are very light with lines thru them.  Some sections are fine.  In the color section at the bottom, each section has lines thru them.  When i print a document, the print is light with lines thru the letters.

Is this a problem with the printer heads so that I should spend the big $$ to replace it?  Or is someting else going on? Help!  I hate to send this old friend to the landfill or recycling if available.

Hi @RobinRider,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If you have performed the steps from this document and still having issues, either the cartridges need to be replaced or the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
